We are people who choose to serve our communities, using a mode of transportation that is somewhat uncommon in most North American regions. We have decided to change our method of travel, and we can continue to engage in many forms of volunteerism.
We deliver meals to our elderly community members who are home-bound; we provide cycling opportunities for people with visual and other physical impairments; we coach middle and high school students - all on a bicycle!
People who volunteer create a better communities for everyone, to include themselves. Volunteers also develop strong bonds with their communities, and others who live in them, which creates a sense of worth, purpose, and belonging; and, this increases overall happiness.
